Bambu Lab fleet without the cloud — 10 points

Enable LAN-Only mode. Switch on LAN-Only mode on every printer and document the access codes centrally.
Connect the slicer locally. Configure Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer to reach the printers via their local IP address.
Plan the network. Connect printers and the management server in the same network segment or via VPN; segment access.
Define a firmware strategy. Document firmware versions and define a controlled update process that can be run offline where possible.
Check remaining cloud features. For every feature you use, review the manufacturer's privacy policy — what stays cloud-bound?
Clarify data protection. If cloud features are used: assess legal basis, data processing agreement and third-country transfer.
Control jobs centrally. Introduce central job and queue management across all printers instead of operating devices individually.
Track material & cost. Capture material consumption and cost per job — the basis for costing and proof.
Govern users & roles. Define user and role permissions and log access in a traceable way.
Secure availability. Define a backup, availability and contingency concept for local operation.
