As an enclosed printer, the X1C is designed for technical materials and productive use; AMS multi-material printing, an on-device camera and a display are part of the package. In LAN-Only mode you continue to work locally via the slicer on the same network — the cloud-bound convenience services drop out.
In practice: AMS multi-material printing and local monitoring remain usable on the network, while remote access from outside the network and the full Handy app drop out. The exact feature set is determined by the installed firmware.
The exact menu wording may vary depending on firmware version.
LAN-Only mode solves cloud-free operation per device. For multiple printers in production you need central job, material, user and reporting management — data-sovereign, in house. That is exactly what leanAM MES adds as an on-premise system, across manufacturers and without cloud lock-in.
